Hacked

I’ve been pretty slack at visiting the main page of the blog partly due to the fact i really have nothing interesting to write about at the moment and I generally use the services from my hosting in the background.

In short a script kiddy who hates Israel injected a page in to an older version of the CMS powering this site causing it to display a horrible notepad HTML job which 99% of people will close in 2 seconds about the evils of society.

I’m amazed that someone who can exploit an out of date CMS couldn’t also hook malware in to a browser properly, kids these days.

I guess the moral of the story is to be more vigilant with updates

Some Men…

Alfred Pennyworth: A long time ago, I was in Burma, my friends and I were working for the local government. They were trying to buy the loyalty of tribal leaders by bribing them with precious stones. But their caravans were being raided in a forest north of Rangoon by a bandit. So we went looking for the stones. But in six months, we never found anyone who traded with him. Alfred Pennyworth: Because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren’t looking for anything logical, like money. They can’t be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Pretty Win

The new World of  Warcraft guild i joined, The Dark Ministry, has cracked the world top 100 for progression raiding guilds after we killed Professor Putricide on the first lockout before they ‘nerfed’ the encounter by making the transitions easier.

The fight was probably over tuned for 25 man ‘normal’ mode progression as it had the feelings (not the entire encounter mind you) of a heroic encounter, sadly however the 10 man version wasn’t hard but due to the nature of the targeting mechanics on the slimes it meant that a caster heavy or stacked raid would have an easier time than a melee one.

All in all it’s awesome that we are currently top 100 but we will wait until the heroic mode for Icecrown Citadel gets released before feeling too good about our achievements.

Good Times

Had a great weekend out with the guys, had dinner and watched the Sky Blues lose (they deserved to lose admittedly) but overall it was a good night including the negative result.

I’m starting designs for a couple of sites this week so i hope to have a few mock ups working then i can start on the backend stuff.

As i’m writing this i just flew off the southern end of the Howling Fjord… FATIGUE!
